Description
You will continue to teach your “teen-aged” dog good manners and practice calm behaviour in a group setting.
Fully vaccinated pups between 5 months (20 weeks) and 8 months can join our Tweenager Dog Manners Course after they have participated in a Puppy Course. As always our focus is on positive reinforcement and fun!
Our venue is Billy’s Day-Care for Dogs in Belmont, WA. This purpose built indoor centre is perfect for distracta-dogs (teenagers, right?). We can control the environment and spread the kids out and then re-group them to improve their learning. Class size is limited to 4 pups so that everyone has one-on-one time with the instructor as needed.
As before, the Tweenager Course is organised so that you practise new training topics each week. The training topics in this course build on and add to the topics in the Puppy Course. Extra emphasis is put on how to navigate training while your pup’s brain is changing and developing in their social world. Training techniques will help you meet the challenges of of training your “teenager” dog.
Once you have enrolled, you will need to provide some details on your pup and their history and habits. This is to ensure that they they can get the most benefit from classes. We’ll contact you to confirm the details of your first class.
Tweenager Dog Manners classes are 1 hour each, run over 4 weeks on Saturdays at 10:20am.
